Where is the house located?

The location is confidential. However approved volunteers will be given the address upon their scheduled volunteer date.

How many women can reside at Her Safe Haven?

Currently 7 residents, but this will increase to 10 once the 3rd floor renovation is complete.

Does Her Safe Haven accept children into the house

No. Approximately 50% of our residents have children. We partner with other local providers to place with children.

Is there an age requirement to volunteer?

18 or older. 21 or older for direct contact with residents.

Is a background check required?

Yes. We require a state and federal background check for all volunteers but especially those who are working directly with the residents.

Can I schedule a group together to volunteer?

Yes, you may. If you have never volunteered with us before, please make sure to list your group in your application. If you have volunteered previously, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Marcie, at [email protected] .
