Three Years of Hope, Healing & Freedom

Three years ago, we opened our doors. Today, we reflect on 1,095 days of courage, restoration, and lives forever changed.

A Message from Her Safe Haven

Three years ago, Her Safe Haven opened its doors with a vision: to provide a safe, supportive place where women impacted by trafficking, exploitation, trauma, and addiction could begin their journey toward healing.

Today, we celebrate three years of hope, courage, and restoration. This milestone is possible because of our dedicated staff, compassionate volunteers, community partners, and faithful supporters who walk alongside the women we serve.

Together, we have created more than a residential treatment program. We have built a community where every woman is valued, supported, and reminded that healing is possible.

Our Journey: From Vision to Impact

What began as a single step of faith has grown into a haven of restoration.

In 2023, Her Safe Haven was established in Pittsburgh, after years of planning, prayer, and learning from other models of care.

We created a licensed residential treatment program that combines drug and alcohol recovery with survivor-informed, clinical care.

Our home is not an institution — it is a family setting, a place of dignity and healing.

In our third year, Her Safe Haven reached important milestones. We expanded our licensed residential capacity from seven to ten women, released our annual report, and increased community awareness through television, radio, and educational initiatives.

Alongside this growth, we continued strengthening our network of care, building relationships with healthcare providers, victim advocacy organizations, human trafficking service providers, treatment programs, and community partners. These connections help women access essential services, navigate referrals, and transition into continued treatment, supportive housing, and other resources that support long-term recovery.

Every number represents a name. Every story matters.

"When I first came here, I didn’t believe I deserved a new life. The care I received gave me hope again.

For the first time, I feel like I have a family." — A Her Safe Haven Resident

These stories remind us why Her Safe Haven exists — to provide a place where women can stabilize, heal, and rebuild their lives.
