1 position-----Full Time (Weekdays, 4pm-12am)
2 positions---Part Time (Every weekend 4pm-12am)
2 positions---PRN* (On-Call Support, Min 1 8hr shift & staff meeting per month)
Position Overview
The Residential Support Specialist (RSS) plays a vital role in supporting adult women who are healing from trauma, sex trafficking/sexual exploitation, and working through substance use recovery. This position ensures a safe, supportive, and structured environment that promotes empowerment, independence, and sustained recovery. The Support Staff provide compassionate, trauma-informed care and are responsible for day-to-day supervision of residents, emotional support, and engagement in program activities.
*PRN staff provide support as needed for call-offs, vacation fill-ins, and additional support for outings and activities. The monthly requirements to maintain a PRN position would be to attend monthly supervision meetings, monthly staff meetings, and commit to at least one 8-hour shift per month.
Key Responsibilities:
Resident Support and Supervision
Provide consistent, respectful, and supportive interactions with residents.
Monitor and maintain a therapeutic, recovery focused environment.
Assist residents with their day-to-day needs.
Program Facilitation and Engagement
Encourage participation in treatment-related groups, recovery activities, and community outings.
Support Residents in implementing coping strategies and self-care routines.
Provide Transportation to appointments, meetings, or errands as needed.
Crisis Intervention and Safety
Use De-escalation skills and trauma-informed practices to manage conflict or crisis.
Ensure physical safety and emotional well-being of all residents.
Monitor for signs of relapse, distress, or other concerns and report promptly.
Medication Administration
Distribute medications to residents according to protocol.
Document administration and report any discrepancies or concerns to clinical staff.
Communication and Documentation
Maintain accurate shift notes and incident reports.
Collaborate with program staff and participate in staff meetings.
Ensure smooth transition and communication between shifts.
Household Responsibilities
Support residents in maintaining cleanliness and order in the residence.
Assist with meal preparation, laundry, inventory of supplies, and light housekeeping tasks.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Knowledge of trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and recovery models.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
CPR/First Aid Certification (Or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Strong communication, crisis management, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Basic proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Comfortable working in a faith-based environment rooted in Christianity.
Must pass Universal and PA State Background Checks (we cover the cost)
Preferred Attributes
Experience working in residential, behavioral health, or substance use treatment settings.
Lived experience with addiction recovery and/or mental and associated systems of care
Cultural competency and sensitivity to the unique needs of marginalized populations.

Co-occuring Therapist
Reports To: Director of Programs
Schedule: Full Time (Residential Treatment Program)
Pay: From $53,000 per year
Position Overview
The Co-occurring Therapist serves a central role in supporting adult women in a residential recovery program as they heal from substance use disorders and complex trauma, including histories of exploitation, abuse, and co-occurring mental health conditions. This position provides individual and group psychotherapy, completes comprehensive clinical assessments, and guides residents through individualized treatment planning within a structured, trauma-informed residential environment.
Working as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team, the therapist helps create a safe, consistent, and therapeutic environment where residents can build emotional stability, strengthen coping skills, and move towards sustainable recovery. This role requires strong clinical judgement, effective communication, and documentation practices, and the ability to balance empathy with structure, accountability, and professional boundaries.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group psychotherapy utilizing evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches, including Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed interventions, and other appropriate therapeutic modalities
Complete comprehensive clinical assessments, including Biopsychosocial Assessments, ASAM Level of Care Assessments, PHQ-9, GAD-7, and C-SSRS
Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans in alignment with ASAM criteria and DDAP standards
Complete clinical discharge summaries and participate in discharge planning processes
Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
Participate actively in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, case consultations, and continued stay reviews
Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, and safety planning as needed
Support a structured therapeutic milieu by reinforcing program expectations, healthy boundaries, accountability, and skill development
Collaborate with medical, psychiatric, case management, and recovery support providers to ensure coordinated care
Maintain a clinical caseload of up to 8 residents, depending on program needs and acuity
Contribute to a professional, respectful, and mission-driven treatment environment
Experience
Master’s degree in a human services-related field (e.g., Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related discipline)
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a residential substance use and/or co-occurring treatment setting
CADC or CAADC certification (Pennsylvania) required
Demonstrated competency in Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and ASAM Criteria
Working knowledge of co-occurring disorders and trauma treatment approaches such as ACT, IFS-informed interventions, or similar models
Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills
Ability to manage clinical risk, maintain professional boundaries, and respond effectively during crisis situations
Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
Professional trauma certification preferred
CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
